Emma Miles, LCsw

Works primarily with college students and young adults on managing family conflict as well as life transitions.

I have a strong interest in the effects of relational and developmental trauma and enjoy helping my clients to heal from these effects and live their best life. I work primarily with young adults who would like to work on managing their anxiety and depression as well as their relationships with others. I primarily utilize Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also work with my clients to develop appropriate boundaries with others and utilize conflict-resolution skills. I believe that my clients are the experts on their own lives and that my role is to leverage a client's existing strengths and skill set to assist them in meeting the goals they have created for themselves. My approach is strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed. I hope that my clients feel heard, valued, and respected and that they will see me as a valuable resource in their journey of growth, change, and healing.
