Frequently Asked Questions

It’s important to have a therapist you feel comfortable with and can form a good therapeutic relationship with. For that to happen, several factors matter.

Here are a few reasons to choose us:

  • We use evidence-based approaches. We value your time and resources, so we rely on methods proven to help you reach your goals as effectively as possible.
  • We provide individualized care. Your goals are unique, and we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Our goal is to help you feel more connected to your true self.
  • We value flexibility. We offer both virtual and in-office appointments, as well as sliding scale rates and acceptance of healthcare insurance.
  • We take a collaborative approach. When appropriate, we coordinate with doctors, dietitians, and other professionals involved in your care. Within our team, we also consult with one another to ensure you receive the best support—always with your confidentiality and consent in mind.

Each session lasts 55 minutes. The number of sessions you’ll need depends on your unique needs and goals. Typically, we recommend scheduling at least 8–12 sessions after your intake to allow time for building a strong therapeutic relationship and supporting meaningful progress.

Many clients begin with weekly sessions and later transition to biweekly or monthly appointments as they gain confidence and develop the tools to navigate future challenges.

The cost of therapy varies depending on the therapist’s credentials and whether the session is individual, couples, or family therapy. Individual sessions typically range from $75–$165, while couples or family sessions range from $170–$255.

You can learn more about our fees here.

All you need to do is complete all required paperwork before your first session.

Additionally, make sure you receive an email from TherapyPortal with the subject line: ‘WellMinded Counseling has invited you to join the Client Portal.’ If it’s not in your inbox, be sure to check your spam folder.

It’s essential to work with a qualified and trustworthy professional. Some common therapist red flags include:

  • Boundary violations
  • Poor communication or listening skills
  • Insufficient training or competence
  • Unethical behavior
  • Leaving you feeling worse, shamed, or judged

At WellMinded Counseling, our Broomfield therapists are highly trained specialists dedicated to making you feel heard, respected, and safe.
