Amber Cherrette, LPC
Works with Teens and Adults. Utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-centered therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to assess stress and anxiety.
If you’ve ever felt guilty for saying no or struggled to set boundaries, you’re not alone and this is where our work together begins. I firmly believe that you are capable of change, restoration, and growth. Therapy can be the perfect vehicle for the change that you would like to create, by providing a safe, nonjudgmental environment to connect and talk. Maybe you would like to experience more self-acceptance, more balanced relationships, more hope, less stress, or less anxiety. You deserve deep lasting healing, and you don't have to walk the path towards a more whole version of yourself alone.
I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am certified in EMDR and Perinatal Mental Health through PSI and I am pursuing certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) and want to eventually work in perinatal mental health by helping individuals who experience mood and anxiety disorders before and after childbirth. It's important to me to show up authentically, with curiosity, and a sense of humor. I hope for the people I work with to feel comfortable being themselves as well. I value collaboration and view the therapeutic relationship as the most important aspect for creating change.
Reaching out for help can be scary and finding a good fit in a therapist is important. Please reach out via email to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation. I do offer both teleheath and in-person sessions to meet the needs of my clients.
