Men’s Support Group
Why come to Group?
Meaningful Mental Health for Men
The group will be taking place for 6 weeks at the Broomfield office for current and new clients. It will be run by Dayna Sammartino, LPC.
Topics will cover principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to provide psychoeducation, challenge negative stigmas related to gender roles for men, learn productive ways of communication and expressing emotions, and expand upon ways to provide support for fellow members.
If you have struggled to:
Prioritize your relationships with your family while still taking care of yourself
Find a work life balance that works for you
Show up in a way that leaves you feel energized
Maybe you’d like to focus on:
Being confident in your masculinity through a support network of other men
Navigating personal challenges in a healthy way so your relationships don't suffer
Understanding why keeping things to yourself actually ISN'T the answer and how you can become a better partner/friend/father
Need help holding yourself accountable to yourself for the changes you want to make in your life
If this all sounds like something your interested in, then this group is a great place to start meeting these goals!
What our groups offer
Our groups are aimed at supporting men in life, love and the pursuit of happiness; by integrating mindfulness and relational skills, facilitators specializing in men’s issues foster deep group connection through the practice and implementation of these skills. The group environment creates not only an opportunity for the development of a support network, but also for participants to practice and implement learned skills. Our men's groups contain content related to the skills that men need to be their best both for themselves and in their relationships. In addition to content, this group provides an opportunity for men to seek and receive support, as well as an environment aimed at processing inter and intrapersonal challenges with the support of a qualified psychotherapist.
Groups at WellMinded Counseling
WellMinded Counseling provides a thorough 1:1 intake assessment to match counseling needs with individual and/or group counseling and therapy services. All of our ongoing men’s support groups have goals and approaches tailored to individual needs. Each is facilitated by a highly-trained counselor or therapist who is knowledgeable about the issue at hand. This experience paves the way for effective living outside of the group.
