Katie Veraldi, LPCC

Katie has been passionate about caring for people her whole life. She remembers being a peer mentor all the way back in elementary school and thinking, “I like this.” Despite this natural inclination it was quite a journey to becoming a therapist. Through her own personal growth and work she’s gained many experiences that have shaped her as a person and counselor.  She uses person centered therapy with elements of existential therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and reality therapy.

Katie was born and raised in Colorado. Katie did her undergraduate degree at Colorado State University and completed her Master of Arts in Counseling from Wake Forest University in Winston- Salem, NC. Katie has worked in many different settings ranging from a middle school, community mental, and medication assisted treatment facility. She has also done work as a sexual assault survivor advocate and family court advocate. Through these experiences Katie has found she had a passion for serving a large range of age groups and different situations. Katie has focused in working with substance use, depression, anxiety, and adjustment/transitional issues. She believes in Health At Every Size and is a LGBTQ+ supportive therapist.

When Katie is not working she is probably out with her dog exploring a trail. Katie also loves to watch movies and TV shows and finding new ones. She enjoys being with her friends and family and exploring different Denver restaurant spots.
